The Sandcastle Waterpark is a publicly owned facility that opened in 1986 and was hailed as a 21st Century indoor seaside, featuring a large wave pool, lagoon pool, two body slides, two cannons and a child’s slide. In 2003 Neuman Aqua Ltd. was nominated to provide a multi-phased, fast track turnkey refurbishment of the centre including the design, supply and installation of new rides, attractions and the associated hydraulics.

As the principal contractor, Neuman Aqua made modifications to the existing pool structures and installed the world’s longest indoor Master Blaster, the world’s first indoor Mini Sidewinder, a bespoke multilevel play structure, multislide, pirate ship, Fort Ryptide and lazy river.

Neuman Aqua have undertaken three separate phases of work at the Waterpark.

  • Sandcastle Waterpark opened in 1986 on the site of the former South Shore Open Air Baths.
