The International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay is a new development incorporating a Swimming complex, a Snow Centre, Ice Arena, Supermarket, Retail, Restaurants, Bars and 1,000 apartments. The Swimming complex consists of an Olympic standard 50m pool with ten 2.5m wide lanes, seating for 1,000 spectators, and an indoor waterpark which incorporates a four lane, 25m warm up pool. The indoor waterpark features flume rides, a beach area with slides, a lazy river and whirlpool.
Neuman Aqua was responsible for the design, supply and installation of three body slides and a space bowl and the associated ride supports. A part of Neuman Aqua’s design brief was to allow for a second phase ride such as a Master Blaster and accordingly the current design reflects this future option, with a recognized and assigned future slide path.
